Johnnie Hale

Johnnie Hale was born May 15th of 1917 to Thomas and Brean Hale.

The 1930 census has him listed as living in Vernon LA at the age of 12.

On December 23, 1939 he married Willie Virginia Airhart ( Daughter of John L. Sullivan Airhart and Alice Cordila Lee).

The couple had a baby the following year and named her Marjorie Elaine Hale, but the baby is listed to have died on the same day.

On February 24, 1942 Johnnie and Virginia had a baby boy whom they named Johnny Bartel Hale.

The following year, on March 5, 1943, the couple had another boy Felton Edward Hale (My Grampa).

Felton was followed by another boy on October 3, 1944, this boy was named Willis Sullivan Hale.

Two more years passed before the family got another addition; a boy named Bennie Carlton Hale, born April 19, 1946.

Bennie was followed by four more babies:

Rebecca Hale, born on April 5, 1948

Lorraine Hale born October 12, 1949

Melba Hale born October 5, 1953

and Melton Lynn Hale born on November 13, 1954.

Johnnie passed away September 16, 1981 at age 64.

He is buried at Good Hope Baptist Cemetery in Anacoco, Louisiana ( Memorial ID:25201981).
