Aliens? In my hometown? It's more likely than you think.

The room was part of an even larger building, in which, there were no doors only places where doors should be. The walls were not walls at all really, but windows so smooth and so clear that one would not have realized they were windows at all. I was focused, watching intently as the boy in the hat showed me how to do the moonwalk. He held out his hand, a gesture that was a polite but silent signal to try it for myself. I tried, was gently corrected and tried once more until I got it right. The people around us were wholly uninterested, and stood about not talking or focusing on any thing in particular. It was then that I noticed the cloud. It wasn't fluffy and white like most clouds , but smooth, and a transparent gray color. It also happened to be shaped (much to my awe and amusement) like a human skull. "That would make an awesome alien Space ship" I thought to myself, and then rising up from the depths of fluffy white clouds was a monstrously large THING. I pointed, absolutely giddy about the whole ordeal, "Hey look! It's an alien spaceship!" Everyone ran for their lives, but no one got far. When I next opened my eyes, the excitement was still there, and I was just as giddy as before. I'd found myself the only free human in a hallway full of book-sized parcels. Curiously I sneaked over to the nearest box and quietly pried it open. There, neatly folded and blinking up at me was none other than Asgaurd's finest trickster, Loki. I neatly unfolded him and watched as he snapped back into a natural humanoid form. Other parcels forgotten the trickster and I continued our sneak-fest and moved it down the hall until a very large creature with dreadlocks and a spear (no doubt the creature meant to be gaurding these parcels) caught our eyes. An exchange of wicked grins between myself and my Asgaurdian friend and POOF Loki had transformed us into the captain (whom he had apparently caught a glimpse of prior to his imprisonment in a book sized parcel) and a rather scantily dressed slave girl. For added effect there appeared a pair of shackles on my wrists and a set of chains leading from shackled wrists into the hands of the highly amused trickster. With a raised eyebrow I admired the shackles before turning my gaze back to the trickster with a half amused, half inquiring look, "Kinky." With that we were once again on the move, Loki taking the lead and letting the chain pull loosely behind him to tug me along and passed the guard. And then there we were, the passenger room of the ship. Hardwood floors seemed to stretch out for miles and the windows seemed to stretch on forever, revealing an endless sea of sky and clouds. Loki tugged me along, his eyes watching each and every passenger that meandered too close or paid us too much attention. Something gray shifted at the edge of my vision and I froze, stopping near the center of the room and pivoting so that I could see what I thought I saw. My heart stopped, just for an instant, and my breathing seemed to cease as well. There, standing near the edge of the window, staring unseeingly into the brilliant blue beyond, was Hiei. Or rather what was left of him, as he was obviously no longer corporeal and seemed completely unaware of my presence. I stepped towards him, unable to stop myself, for I always seemed to gravitate naturally towards him. It didn't matter to me now what form he took, nor had it ever mattered at all, but a tug on the chains gave me pause. The split second of hesitation, and the look on my companion's face that said "There isn't time," was enough to pull my attention to the violent shuddering of the ship. I let my gaze slide back to Hiei, or rather, the place where he had once been, and felt my heart sink. 'He would want you to move on' my mind whispered, but I myself was unsure. I allowed Loki to tug me along, passed the frightened, people all fleeing for safety and all heading in the opposite direction. Flashing red lights and an alarm explode throughout the ship, drilling into my brain and causing me to cover my ears against the onslaught of sirens. They've noticed our escape attempt. They're searching for us. I am unafraid. Loki is enjoying himself. We run for our lives, sticking close to each other, my eyes ever searching for a ghost of my past and then, I wake up.
