Change

Sometimes I get asked what I would change if I could go back in time. The answer is almost always "Nothing." If my parents hadn't divorced, my dad would have taken a job in Venezuela and I never would have met my best friend. My brother's and I wouldn't be as close as we are. If I hadn't gone behind my dad's back and applied to transfer to McNeese State University I never would have joined The North American Assassins Creed Guild. If I had never joined the guild I never would have met Patrick. The more I look back and examine my life, the more I try to come up with something I would have changed, the more I realize that every bad thing in my life led to something good. I guess it's like Matt Smith said in Vincent and The Doctor: “The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.” So is there anything in my life that I would change? Yes. If I could change anything it would be my inability to see the good in things as they happen.
