Waiting

Where are you?

Did you forget?

or was it all a dream?

Am I a fool for waiting?

Are you hesitating?

I've been standing here for years

overlooking this stupid sea

watching the waves break

sunshine or rain 

some days I want to take a running jump 

some I'm content just watching the waves

but most days I just stand there

waiting to hear your voice

you'd call me stupid for waiting 

but it's not like I can do much else.
